These three things are cognitive powers that take skill and experience. Even telepathy and telekinesis are subjects that have no sections here, so where can I ask about them?
You can’t place it under those things because no one will answer it. It should be under "brain power." There’s no limit to how many categories you can use.
There IS a section for the paranormal on YA under Science & Mathematics > Other – Science
or Social Science > Psychology or Social Sciences > Other – Social Science.
Why is the Mental Health section on YA always so hard to find?
Make a Suggestion on the Suggestion Board or Ask a Question on the Suggestion Board., but pre- pared to be attacked and abused. The Suggestion Board is where all the paranoid trolls go to whine about how unfair YA is and how they think it should be run. When you dare to report abuse on the Suggestion Board to the abuse team, they suspend your account’s ability to access the SB. Yahoo wants the trolls business just as much as wants the business of the users who follow the community guidelines and terms of service that we all agreed to follow when we signed up with Yahoo and YA.

I happen to practice Zen Buddhism and what I am really finding inside of me is how to love and have compassion for all beings. With Christianity and Islam I do have very deep philosophical differences with them. But to outright hate them and belittle them seems very wrong to me. I have friends of different religions and one thing that my practice has shown me is that they are humans just like everyone else. I feel more love for them then I ever had. And that came as a result through self meditation.
You are on the right track. Yes indeed, just like me, all beings want happiness and don’t want suffering. You are moving along nicely.
When we hate or belittle someone, we are setting very negative imprints (karmas) within ourself. These imprints directly oppose the development of compassion.
Both Buddhism and the world of psychology understand that the more you care about others, and the less you are tied to your attachments to yourself and your own attitudes, the happier and more psychologically-healthy you will be.
Everyone clings to their beliefs because life is uncertain and scary, but if they have a strong belief, they have the illusion of certainty and security. The harder they cling and the more intolerant of other beliefs they are, the stronger this sense of having "solid ground" under their feet.
However, reality consists of shifting sands, of constant change. Buddhists, instead of trying to get the illusion of "ground" under their feet, will work to find their comfort with the truth of impermanence and uncertainty. Even with the truth of not-knowing.

I did the 10 day Vipassana meditation of S. N. Goenka’s last month and I also want to practice Zen when I get the chance to meet a good teacher. Would like to know experience of someone who has tried both.
i’ve done the goenka retreats.
and only read about different types of zen practice.i have over 100 books on buddhism and meditation.
something to keep in mind to, just like there are different types of vipassana practice there are going to be different types of zen practice too.
if i had a choice between the two i would do a zen practice and probably korean zen that uses sitting with questioning called hwadu(i think). i rather use the mind than just observe sensations.
nothing against the U Ba Khin/Goenka method but it’s just not suited for everyone.
just thought i’d throw my two cents in just in case you don’t get any response from anyone who has done both.

i am doing a presentation on a reading about Zen and what it means and how it is used for example the reading uses soloing boulder climbers as a description on how they use Zen and how climbing is used by your body not by you mind.. I just need a good video that can explain what zen is or something that can relate to a soloing climber. thanks you
I would recommend a book rather than a video: "The Way of Zen" by Alan Watts.
